Water-based degreasing is a critical step for all suface prepartion during the Spectra Chrome process. A degreaser is used to clean the part – removing fingerprints, leftover sanding debris, and other surface contaminants.

We will be using water-based degreaser very frequently when prepping parts for the Spectra Chrome process. Follow the application method outlined below:

1. Apply the degreaser to a clean towel
2. Wipe the degreaser over a small area of the part
3. Immediately wipe dry with a clean, second towel
4. Repeat as necessary until the entire part has been cleaned

Do not allow the degreaser to dry on the part or streaking could occur.
