LI SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Congratulations on your purchase of the all new Spectra Chrome LI System!
The LI System is designed to chrome items up to the size of an automotive rim — delivering the same trusted performance and premium-quality finishes as Spectra Chrome’s industrial models; scaled down for your workshop.
The LI System requires an air compressor and automotive spray gun to apply the basecoat and topcoat layers. To complete your shop setup, we recommend purchasing necessary items at your local Harbor Freight Tools store. Harbor Freight has nearly 1,600 locations nationwide; and offers a great selection of compressors, spray guns, sandpaper, primers, and more. It is the ideal one-stop supplier for everything you will need to get started.
Training Online is designed to provide comprehensive instruction from the ground up; and assumes the applicator has no prior painting experience. Each section is written to build upon the previous one, to present all the information required to get excellent results. We will coach you through every step of the process – from compressor and paint gun selection to the final clear coat.
We provide our AI-powered assistant for instant, 24/7 technical support to answer your questions; as well as our troubleshooting guide, where we purposely induced every imaginable problem and documented solutions with videos and annotated images. This is your guide to success!
You now have the power to create world-class finishes right from your own workspace. Let’s get started!

Your LI System is engineered to produce the same high-quality finishes as our flagship industrial model, the HV-T System — the only difference is “firepower”.
The LI System is perfectly suited for spraying small items — up to the size of an automotive rim. It features pump sprayers that deliver the metalizing chemistry through the spray wands in the exact same manner as the HV-T. Comparatively, the HV-T System’s pressurized canisters deliver a much higher volume of chemistry through the spray guns, making it easier to spray larger and more complex workpieces.
