Spectra Chrome finish consists of a water-based silver metal layer deposited between two layers of paint. To apply the Spectra Chrome 3-layer finish perfectly, five important parameters must be controlled and maintained: Air Quality, Water Quality, Equipment Settings, Mixing Ratios, and Spray Technique.

A clean, dry compressed air source is essential for any paint operation. The compressed air source must be free from water, oils, and all other contaminants.

Spectra Chrome’s metal spray chemistry are water-based solutions – requiring a high quality water source.
We have found that using grocery store distilled water is the easiest and most economical way to ensure you have perfect quality water.

The LI System comes factory calibrated for the application of the water-based silvering chemistry.
