PLASTIC ADHESION PROMOTER
A plastic adhesion promoter is used to promote bonding on surfaces that do not sand very well. It is applied using an HVLP paint gun.
WHERE TO USE:
Designed for plastics; but great for use over ceramic and porcelain, vinyl, leather, rubber, and other bendable substrates.
PROPERTIES:
One component; no mixing required. Sprays in a fine mist and dries quickly, within 10 to 15 minutes.
Apply the degreaser to a clean towel, wipe the degreaser over a small area of the part, then remove it right away with a clean, second towel. Repeat as necessary until the entire part has been cleaned.
Do not allow the degreaser to dry on the part or streaking could occur.
- Pour a small quantity of adhesion promoter into your spray gun reservoir.
- Apply the adhesion promoter in a light misty coat.
- Allow to flash dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Apply a second light misty coat.
- Allow to dry for 30 minutes before applying Spectra Chrome Basecoat 812-E.
- Unused adhesion promoter left over in the gun reservoir can be poured back into the can for future use.
NOTE: If you wait longer than 24 hours after application, the adhesion promoter will need to be re-applied before basecoating. Refer to manufacturer’s instructions on the can for additional information.

Bulldog Plastic Adhesion Promoter is not available directly from Harbor Freight; however, it can be found at most automotive paint supply stores.
